Literary

Full Circle

We have been running in circles, cycles
Singing hallelujah every day, today
Passing by soapbox preachers, hearers
Behind a montage of optimistic dreams

But no one gets away unscathed, saved
With a dormant spirit and ephemeral zeal
For when all is gone, we smile a wistful smile
And come back to our erstwhile self, sins
